Whenever I read Josephine Tey's The Singing Sands I must stop part way through and make scones to eat while I read it. That is a bit ironic since the scones in the story are very nasty and get put in the back of the coal fire to cover up the fact that Alan Grant won't eat them. My terrible need for scones while reading the book makes no sense. But still....
Today I read Ms King's blog of August 26th, 2007. http://laurierking.com/wp.php Ms King's editor was asking for mercy after eating her way through O Jerusalem. My sympathy was with her. I often must read with a blanket on through Laura Ingalls Wilder's The Long Winter.
Are you likewise effected by your reading? Tell all!
