This is my first experience in a Virtual Book Club, and I am very excited to participate.
I LOVE LRK--as do the rest of you--or else why are we here??!??
I live in St Louis, and love to read mystery/thriller series. I found very early when I started a good book, I was not ready to say "Good-Bye!" to a character at the end. I keep a detailed list of authors, series character, and last book read so I don't get out of order. I know--some of you will think that is very anal retentive, but so be it.
My first LRK book was THE BEEKEEPER'S APPRENTICE, and I was hooked immediately. I also enjoy the Martinelli books, and anything else LRK decides to put into print.
I anxiously await the next book.

Hi, pam--I'm so glad you found your way here! I'm also picky about going through a series in exact order.

I visited St. Louis a few years ago and had a great time. It's such a nice town. While there, I went to a Robin McKinley reading, which was a lot of fun. It seems like a lot of LRK fans enjoy her work, too. If you get a chance to check out RMc's stuff, The Blue Sword is a good place to start, imo.

Hello

I'm Robin, I live in Maine, and I've been a member of the Russ-L list (Dot, Going to Hell with Dante).

I started with The Beekeeper's Apprentice, have read the others as they have come out, reread the earlier books, and have reread the Holmes canon.

Three cheers for LRK, Russell and Holmes, and Martinelli

Hi, Robin and welcome! It's good to see another Bee in the VBC. I'm a lurker at RUSS-L and enjoy seeing the discussions there.

BTW, when you get a chance, stop by the "hospitality suite" (http://laurierking.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=12#post1) thread to see some of the other new members.
