I had an awesome piece of writing forwarded to me this week, and I wanted to share it with everyone - but the post I received did not list the origin, nor did it name the author.
Since I could not give the citation, I'm not going to post it here (my professors would be *so* proud!). However Vicki suggested I link to it at this site:

For any of you who are mothers, who have mothers, or who know any mothers - please read this. I began reading it thinking about myself as a mother, but as I read I realized just how much I have taken my *own* mother for granted. Not anymore. She gets a copy of this, too - with my unending gratitude.
