Hey out there,
I am new to cyber-book clubs/discussion groups, but am looking forward to reading what others have to say about, not only the books, but about the characters (major and minor) as well as the authors intent.

My first LRK book was A Grave Talent, it was a while ago, and just continued with that series until the most current work Art Of Detection. I enjoy reading mysteries, and here lately some science fiction, guess because with either it takes you to places you would never have imagined yourself to go.

I work at home taking care of a two year, soon to be three, year old boy, the son of a friend of mine. Way back when, I did 3 years in the U.S. Navy, married, had 2 beautiful daughter, who are now mothers themselves. Other than reading i enjoy scrapbooking.

Thats about it.
hope to enjoy many cood conversations with all fans of LRK.

Welcome, redsun and irish--a VBC Navy group is born!

Redsun, if you like SF, you might enjoy LRK's SF novel, Califia's Daughters (http://laurierking.com/califias_daughters.php), which she wrote under the pseudonym Leigh Richards. It's excellent.

I work at home taking care of a two year, soon to be three, year old boy, the son of a friend of mine.

They're a lot of work at that age, but they're a lot of fun, too.
