Hi, all! Are any of you having trouble adding avatars (the little picture thingies like the one I have next to my name)? I've had a question about it from someone who hasn't been able to add one to her profile. We have it set up so everyone can use avatars, so you should be able to do that.

Okay, I've had confimation that the no-avatar thing is happening in more than one account, so it's evidently a forum-wide problem. Must have avatars. I'll let you know when I get it figured out.
<Edit> I think I've got it fixed. If you try to add an avatar and it still doesn't work, let me know. Thanks!

You're welcome!
We had to have avatars. They're such a fun way to express yourself. I like yours and the others I've seen around here.
My avatar, btw, is a character from one of my favorite movies, "The Philadelphia Story"--the inimitable Dinah Lord, little sister to Katharine Hepburn's character, Tracy Lord.

I thought I recognized the photo; the Hepburn/Grant films are terrific, and the trio of Hepburn/Grant/Stewart are exceptionally funny in this film!!

Yah, I just love those movies, but The Philadelphia Story is my favorite. I really had to look hard on google images for a picture of Dinah singing "Lydia." Just thinking of the look on Jimmy Stewart's face during that scene cracks me up.

I had to add my two cents. That movie is one of my absolute favorite black and white movies! The drunk scenes between Jimmy and Hepburn still make my stomach hurt from laughter!

Isn't Jimmy Stewart the most incredibly brilliant drunk? I often use the screen name CKDexterHaven simply because of that scene where JS stands in front of CK's house and drunkenly yodels "CKDexterHAAAYven! Oh, CKDexterHAAAYVEN" until Cary Grant opens the door. Gad, that's funny. Oh, it's all funny--I just laugh all the way through the danged thing. I often use my favorite line from the movie as my tagline--"Wouldn't we be more comfortable on pogo sticks?" (Two brownie points for anyone who can name the character who says it, btw). I may yet add it as a tagline here. Still thinking on it.

That would be Uncle Willie, hungover, speaking to Dinah!!

<Applauds> Two brownie points for jtb! :-)
Jimmy Stewart may have been the best drunk of the movie, but Uncle Willie definitely had the most entertaining hangover.
