Here's a review (http://news.yahoo.com/s/usatoday/20071129/tc_usatoday/ebookreadersbysonyamazonhavetheircharms;_ylt=AmkTc MgesHA7sQ4nTykzFISs0NUE) of two new ebook devices--Amazon's Kindle and Sony's e-reader.

What I want to do is wait until they have an iphone that can act as a reader, with memory out the yad--thousands of songs, movies, books, not to mention a phone, mobile web surfing and personal scheduling/management capabilities. Then I really *would* have my all-in-one, never-need-another-device-again item.

If technology keeps advancing at this pace give it 2 and I bet all the phones, sony, samsung and apple will do everything. I have a blackjack and except for the limits of a 2GB memory card it pretty much does all of that now. :D

I've been very curious about the e-readers; it would make life a lot simpler while I'm taveling to be able to carry several books in one neat little device. However, there is just something comfortingly tangible about hefting around a tome=)

I find the problem with e-readers is that they make my eyes tired far too fast. It is much easier on my eyes to read the printed word.
