...and it was amazing. That's all.

Although I do remember thinking half way through - "why does she does this to me? Does she not know I have children? A job??" It is VERY hard to put down a good book for a paying job ;)
(unhappy children tend to be more insistent)

I try not to read LRK's books unless I can read them in one go if they are a new book, and even if I've read them before for that matter. They are too hard to put down!

I enjoyed Keeping Watch also. I hope you read Folly 1st there is a connection there. I wholeheartedly agree that LRK’s books are hard to stop, once started.

Oooh--one of those Vietnam sequences in KW is probably my very favorite LRK writing passage. But there's a sequence in Touchstone (out at the end of the month, and it rocks!) that I think may tie with it. I'll need to read them side by side to compare them.

Authors can be *very* naughty that way--making it where you can't put that book down! :D

We need jobs where we are paid to read good books. We could be test readers!

OMG, that would be the best job ever!

I always felt that this should be a job option, like doctor, lawyer, book reader.

Perhaps we could market ourselves as a 'focus' group.
