Here's an interesting article (http://www.teleread.org/blog/2008/01/19/bookgluttons-public-beta/) on the new Book Glutton (http://www.bookglutton.com/portal/how) site. Might be fun to try out.

There are a lot of books I want to experience on my own, at least the first time through. But I could see a whole new life for really bad novels with something like this. You could go through one of those like the Mystery Science Theater 3000 guys do with bad movies. It could be pretty hilarious, done live. If you were really good at it, you could even do it as a regular show, skewering a few chapters of a bad book at a regular time every week.

Wow, that's really cool! I'll have to really check it out when I get home from work!!

A bad book lampoon group would be great fun, so long as the bad books were cheap/free. Maybe something in the public domain--a Bulwer-Lytton (http://www.bulwer-lytton.com/), perhaps? It could almost end up being like ensemble performance art.
