Our little town (Carol Stream, IL) always puts on a decent display for the 4th and this year I managed to snap some photos. Hope you enjoy!

John, these are amazing. You are an extremely talented photographer (we already knew that from your other photos, but it should be repeated). I had to stand in my bathroom looking out the high second story window over the sinks, and peek between two trees to see my local fireworks, but I have done this for years. It was easier when the trees were smaller. LOL.

Awesome pics, John! I've always loved fireworks:)

This year, I met up with my knitting group to stake out a good spot in the park for the fireworks display. We got there really early with snacks (and knitting, obviously) and had a grand old time until the sun went down. And then got to lay back in the grass and enjoy the show!
