You all may be wondering what this is about... well, Vicki helped me out a lot when my account here crashed. As a gift and a "thank you" for putting up with me, I did this piece of artwork for her. Well, I see it as artwork, at least.

Anyway, this is Russell in Whales just after she had "the Dream" for the first time in Holmes' presence. I thought it was a good emotional moment. I'm sure there are some things wrong (in fact I knew there are), like the face that there probably wasn't a full moon. And the landscape is a leetle wacked. Criticism and advice and opinions would be lovely.

Anyhoo, Vicki, I hope you like mucho!

P.S. The quality of this isn't so good. If you want to see the good one, PM me. :D

Edit: I've uploaded a new version, in which the "invisible" figure is lightened as much as possible with out distorting the colors. If this still doesn't work, let me know. (You should click on the thumbnail)

This is eerie and does evoke that moment. Russell feels so alone and so utterly horrid in her guilt and shame. An amazing piece. I wish I could make out the figure just a bit more, but that may be the poor quality of the pix. --Alice

Very interesting! I am with Alice in that I wish I could make out the figure better!

Hat's off to SC and Kasmyra, I can't see anything but the beautiful haunting full moon and a lot of black.
I really like the moon Liz!

Wow--thank you, Elizabeth!!! it's beautiful! I blew it up and lightened my screen and could make out more details. That moon looks so *real*, and the light it casts is just magical. W-o-w! It just amazes me what a terrific artist can do on a flat surface with color and drawing media. You are way talented, girl!

And so sorry to have missed this for a couple of days--I've been having multiple nervous breakdown trying to build a website out of wordpress. *That's* about as close to artistic creation as I get, and even that is making my eyes cross.
