Ever wonder where the rainbow ends? This one ended right in the hayfield behind our house!

It was one of those showery afternoons when the sun broke out and you just knew there had to be a rainbow somewhere. So I was looking around when I walked around the end of our house and saw this! The camera doesn't even do it justice. It was the brightest rainbow I ever saw!

Interestingly, this is the same view as the first thread in the Gallery that Vicki posted for me of some an apporaching storm. I guess you could say I walk around with my head in the clouds :)

That is just the sort of thing I always wanted to see when I was a kid and still trying to chase a rainbow down. I was very disappointed when I learned in science class that it was impossible to actually approach a rainbow, I had dreams of bathing in colored light.

Ohhhhh, great pictures, 2Maple. I have never seen the end of a rainbow up close and personal before. Thanks for giving me a magical moment this morning. --Alice

What gorgeous pics! Can't wait to show my dd (who sadly no longer believes in the pot of gold...oh well, she'll be wiser one day).

Still have my head in the clouds... check out these dramatic clouds/rainbow I saw this weeknd just before sunset... so close to sunset all the other colors but the reds were con. It only lasted about 2 minutes. My daughter & I just stood there taking pics and gawking in the spitting rain!

Holy cow. I've never seen anything like this. The actual end of a rainbow. Very well done.
