Hi, all!

As y'all may have noticed, the newly rebuilt site came online last night, and it's looking good! Kudos to the site team for all the hard work!!!

As with any new site, it will require some tweaking and bug-squashing in the first week or two, and we'll be working on that. So just continue to enjoy the party, get an extra cup of punch and pardon the dust in the meantime. :D

Oh, and if you notice anything that needs a little TLC, email me or post it here.

Hi Vicki, Laurie's home page is very impressive. Am I missing the direct link to Laurie's home page from the VBC, or back to the VBC form home for that matter?

John.John, I had to go to the Gavatar place and register, then when I tried to post I forgot that they had me give a nickname (lord I had better write that down before I forget) and I had to give that to get the post to be accepted. May be it is the new sign in, as my nickname and my sign in name from the past are one in the same. A new system for a new site, I guess. Hope that helps. A.

Hi, Alice! I went to gravatar and signed up, responded to the confirmation e-mail using my normal jtb1951 as a nickname, chose a password, then went back to Laurie's site to comment, using jtb1951 and my e-mail address, and it still wouldn't take my comment. I'm obviously still doing something wrong (I'm gonna get a complex, at this rate:)).

Has anyone noticed that under Books, the link to Kate Martinelli's world doesn't go there, but to Librarians blog. The link works fine under etc.

Now we just need a quick way back to the Home page.

It probably looks different on diff pc's - at the top of the page (upper left) there are two ways to get to the book club forum home just click on The Laurie R, King Virtual Book Club above Repy to Thread and even above that (very hard to see on my pc navy on black) the link is also there.

Once at the forum home clicking on LRK's Blog (again upper left) and you get to Laurie's home page.

Vicki, I'm confused and not at all tech savvy. Is our login for this site different for Laurie's new site? Cause I'm being denied permissions, I believe was the phrase. Help?

For right now, all the blog posts are being moderated. I'll let you know what I hear about whether the approved poster list will be reconstructed or if all comments will continue to be moderated. Sorry for the confusion! We'll have a few bumps to iron out in the next couple of weeks, so thanks for bearing with us!!

Sara, the VBC and the blog logins are different for now, as they're run under different programs (we're trying to find a good bridge between the two programs that would permit a single login for both, but we don't have anything workable yet). Are you having trouble getting into the blog?

And I'll check to see if the banner with the forum home/LRK home links will be coming back.
