The full moon was high and bright the other night so I snapped a few pics; this was probably the best of the bunch!

A beautiful job, John, thank you. I've heard from a Native American legend that there's a rabbit on the moon. This photo shows the possibility of such an idea. The moon was especially beautiful here on Sunday night.

Stunning, John. As a moon child (July birthday) I feel like howling at a moon such as that.

If you look very closely you can actually see some tiny foot prints and a few American flags! ;)

I know ;)
(I wish we could say just one or two words, cause sometimes that's all that's needed.)

Excellent, John! Was this a telephoto? Or a camera attached to a telescope?
I took some pictures as well. The moon was casting some light through some very wispy clouds, creating a nice effect that I couldn't resist photographing. The pix were fair but nothing compared to yours.
Best,
Linda

Thank you, Linda! I took the pics using my largest telephoto (600 mm); the moon was placed fortuitously that evening for me, I was able to brace my lens and camera body alongside the corner post on my front porch and got some good exposures at 1/2000 and 1/1600 sec. I took a few shots with cloud wisps passing in front but they weren't especially pleasing. Thanks!
John.
