I need help from all of you. The attached pictures are some cards that I was given by a friend who works in a print shop. They are castoffs and thus, useless to him. However, I saw the honeycomb and the wasp (I think of it as a bee anyway) and thought of the VBC. I don't know if either of these can be used though and if so, I have no idea what they can be used for. The big card with the honey comb design is white on the back and the bee card is white on the back with a bit of a honey comb design in one corner. If they can in any way be useful, please make suggestions and let me know. Thanks! -Meags

What are the sizes of the cards and what quantity is available?

The brown bee cards measure 3x5 and I had 203 of them. The other ones measure 4 1/8 x 4 5/8 and I have 93 of them. -Meags

AAAAAHHHHH!!! I LOVE PAPER AND I LOVE PRINTS!!!!
You could do tons of cool stuff with them:
:personalize them as something the LRK website could sell.
:put the honeycomb ones together and make a HUGE honeycomb background (this could be used as a headboard in a room, a backdrop for photos, myriads of other things)
:the wasp ones could be strung across a string with clothespins/mounted on a wall to create a neat wall-art sort of thing
:VBC valentines?
:we could launch a project VBC-wide, where anyone who wanted to could be sent a piece, make some art/do with it as they like on top of it, then send it back in and create a mosaic piece with all of them
:personal stationary for yourself (Stamp your initials on one side, as a monogram)
:you could use them as gift labels- jars of honey with those as the gift tags would be so design magazine/Martha Stewart/uber-cuteness!
:I probably have more ideas and would be happy to think of more if you like! :)
What a neat gift. Prints are such a treasure, and to have so many pretty ones at your fingertips! Lucky!

Ooooo. Thanks for all the suggestions. They all sound kinda neat. I most particularly like the mosaic thing you suggested. I would be glad to try sending these out to anyone who would like one. It would be a great project. Maybe it could somehow work with the fifteen weeks of bees? Anyone interested? If so, PM me and we'll go from there.

Bachi,
I know the timing's just perfect in a way. I've had these for a while, but when I would take pictures they were just too big and I gave up for a while. Finally I was determined enough to figure out how to make the pictures smaller on my camera so that I could actually upload them onto here. I'm just glad I got them up. Sara and I are working on a plan for them right now and I've just emailed Vicki to get her input on it. Perhaps I'll have a use for the card soon. -Meags

Cool looking cards! I'll send the URL of this thread to Our Fearless Leader so she can take a look-see. And some good ideas here, too!

Well, I am willing to send any number of these cards to whoever would like some. I think what I'd like to do is send them to whoever wants them and let thelm do what they like with it and have them send that stuff back to me so that I can put it all together and make a collage or some sort of thing out of it. Anyone interested in helping out? -Meags
