A pic taken in Jersey, in the channel islands a week ago - if only we had sunshine like that all the time *sigh*

Thank you for the phote, AmyLizzie. My only experience of Britain was in London and Cornwall one August. The weather was sunny and warm for more than two weeks. Some of our group had to buy clothes because they were expecting more rainy cool weather.

It does come as a shock when it's sunny for more than a couple of days to be honest! I pack very wisely these days! :)
I will try and post some more of a stately home about half an hour from where I live - it's so beautiful and makes me feel totally at peace.
The website, if anyone's interested in taking a look is:

I spent most of my childhood weekends here strolling the ground and going to craft fairs - very idyllic :)

What a fascinating place! I would love to come to the murder mystery dinner in June. You are fortunate to have grown up near such a lovely place.

Sunshine and a beach, nothing better in the world!

The last time I was in the British Isles (lo, these many years ago) they had a heat wave. At the last minute in my packing I threw in a pair of shorts and ended up wearing them almost every day. I vividly remember the people laying around the grassy sward of St. David's in Wales turing red as boiled lobsters.
