Greetings!
The last month has been a whirlwind and mostly a blur as we drove out to the Eastern Shore in Maryland to attend our youngest(Brenna)daughter's college graduation (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa; I'm not too proud!), then spent a week playing tourist in D.C. (pics on Facebook w/ more to come!) with older daughter Meaghan, while Brenna left on a trip to Russia for 11 days (visiting the cultural and historic sites in St. Petersburg & Moscow; she had a great time and took lots of wonderful pics!), then a week after all of us were reunited back home (June 6) we celebrated Meaghan's marriage to the guy of her dreams, Jesus. It was a wonderful day as the wedding took place in our local parish church, we had a luncheon at our home for the small group (19) that was spending the day together, then off to the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago for pictures, then downtown for more pics as the weather cleared a little, then dinner at a nice restaurant in Navy Pier overlooking the lake and downtown. A great time was had by all, and we got to know our new in-laws, from Colombia, very well. Meaghan is notorious for loving to stretch out celebrations as long as possible, so there are (were) three more receptions to follow: the weekend after the wedding Meag & Jesus hosted a gathering for their college friends in Madison, in July they are flying to the Boston area for a reception hosted by Jesus' folks for his undergrad friends and family, then in early August we are hosting a gathering for all the Chicagoland area family and friends! Whew!
Attached are a few pics that I managed to snap during the course of the day!
