I just read about this on a Sherlockian site and am delighted to join. I'm a long-time Sherlockian, have read each of the Mary Russell books as they came out, and have had the immense pleasure of talking to LRK herself last January.

Hi, Esmerelda from New Jersey! It's great to have you here in the VBC. We'll be glad to have your Sherlockian/Russellian perspective.

I once had a co-worker from New Jersey and his grandmother used to overnight him the most fabulous produce she got from veggie stands there (can you say "super-granny?"). I'd always thought of NJ as really industrial, but it really *is* the Garden State.

Vicki - the garden has sugar snap peas and raspberries right now. The peas might ship, but raspberries squish to easily! NJ is justifiably famous for tomatoes which have about a month to go. I just can't bring myself to buy grocery store tomatoes anymore, not even the "vine-ripened" ones. Not sure how I'd send them, but if you want I could try . . .:D
