Sheri, I don't remember whether you have a Windows PC or a Mac, but if you have a Windows machine w/ XP or Windows 7 you can probably just double-click on the file name and it should unpack (decompress) the file, then the decompressed file should be available for reading with whatever version you downloaded. I'm afraid I am not Mac proficient so I am useless for advice if that's what you have. Feel free with any questions and I will see if I can be any help.:)

I'm a techno-idiot with a Windows computer (Windows 7), and this is what I did: I already had Adobe Digital Editions for the desktop computer, but if I hadn't, I would have downloaded it from the link in fn. 5 on the web page. Then, I double-clicked and downloaded the copy from the link that read "For Nook, Stanza, Sony Reader, and others (.ePub)." Windows put it in a window that had an option "extract all files," so I did that. And now I have it, and if you are running Windows, you can do the same thing.

Agree, you probably have decompression software already installed unless you're on a really old machine. In which case you can download a free decompressor (WinZip is the prevelant one; just google it). Should be able to double click on the zipped file and an unzipped version should open. I usually move whatever file I want out of the zipped file and save it somewhere more convenient for ease of use.
